How does mesotherapy work?

As the needle is moving in and out of your skin, it pushes your bespoke nutrients directly into your skin. The speed and accuracy of delivery is such that the treatment is virtually pain free, gentle and with very little chance of bruising. The localised micro action of the needle also stimulates collagen and elastin production, so helping to strengthen and restore your skin with the added benefit of reducing scars and lines and wrinkles. It also helps stimulate micro circulation which aids in hair restoration, rejuvenation, elimination of waste, and lymphatic drainage.

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal works by passing a light beam through the unwanted hair area which is then absorbed by melanin (colour within the hair). This generates heat, which damages the blood supply feeding the hair and disabling the hair forming cells. If the hair follicle does not contain any pigment, the laser will not target it. In other words, if hair is grey, white, blonde or red, laser hair removal will be ineffective.

Are there any side effects?

HydraFacial is a non-invasive procedure using hydradermabrasion and it is well tolerated by most people. If redness appears post treatment it usually doesn’t last long. Allergic reactions are very rare and you should always consult your aesthetician for further advice.

How do I know which one is right for me?

Each HydraFacial treatment is built of 5 to 10 steps that will be chosen according to your skin type and concern. Your aesthetician will be the best person to choose the best protocol and boosters for you.

In one session your aesthetician will use the HydraFacial device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and deliver a variety of rejuvenating serums, finishing the treatment with appropriate LED light application*.

How does a HydraFacial feel?

The most important factor of the HydraFacial is that it doesn’t hurt. While there is a deep cleansing, exfoliation and peeling process, none of these treatment steps cause any pain whatsoever to skin. Many people describe the process as feeling like a tiny vacuum is tugging gently on your skin. Nothing is being pulled hard, poked or irritated. HydraFacials are completely non-invasive, so there is no skin-puncturing.

Is a HydraFacial suitable for acne?

Yes, HydraFacial Acne Protocol involves the same exfoliating and deep cleansing steps with an additional GlySal Peel and Blue LED Light Therapy. This treatment will help to improve the appearance of acne and acne scarring and regulate oil levels caused by excess sebum. The strength of the peel step will be tailored to your Acne related needs.

What can a Functional Nutritionist help me with?

There are so many conflicting messages about healthy eating these days, so it may just be that you want to have a professional work with you to see if you are eating healthily.

A nutritionist can also help fitness professionals who might be training for an upcoming event; a marathon, for example.

If you desire to lose weight, a nutritional therapist can help you to change your habits and become healthier, step-by-step.

If you’re suffering from a diet-related illness, such as Diabetes or IBS, a nutritional therapist can help control and manage your illness by knowing what kind of food is good for you, and what isn’t.

If you have food allergies or follow a specific diet you might want to seek advice on making sure the body is getting all the nutrients it needs.

What skin conditions can HydraFacial treat?
